I needed to replace some of the pegging rubbers on my Cabanon as they had perished over time. Some of them had already been replaced with much longer replacements and this caused the edge of the tent to 'flair out' when pegged. I searched for shorter ones, closer in size to those originally fitted but couldn't locate any.

I searched the forums here and found that someone recommended Isabella Isaflex rubbers. There wasn't any size information I could find so took a chance and ordered a pack of 10 from Caravan Accessory Shop.

I was amazed how perfectly well the plastic part on the rubber fitted the D-ring on the tent and they are a better length than the longer replacement rubbers.

Here are some pictures to show you how they fit -

I've only put them on this week (after two trips to europe) so can't vouch for their toughness, strength etc. I'll be able to that in about 12 months time!

Here's one of the new rubbers on a tag with an original (almost expired!) rubber so you can see the comparsion in size. It's still bigger than the original but smaller than the normal rubber band replacements.

nice bits of kit but unfortunately our old chantilly doesn't have the plastic hoops
we ended up using the anchor type rubbers which we could just squeeze through the very small fabric loop left when the old rubber was removed.
we will in future probably buy some stainless split rings so we can fit those ones when these fall apart
i would if i were you remove the perished rubbers they quickly go sticky and make a mess when you fold the tent up ,one i spotted went from slightly perished to sticky mess since april ,it left a mark on the tent

I bought several packs of replacement rubbers in a Leclerc hypermarket in France...they were made by Trigano, were just the right size for my Conway (ie short) and they cost €1.95 for 10. Leclerc sell a lot of Trigano spares and they're really good quality. Worth looking out for.

I must say they are an awesome fit made for the job, the one thing i dont like about them is they are made of bungee cord which i dont like and they also look a little bit longer than the rubbers that are fitted as standard

I had a litchtcfield tent that had bungee cords instead of rubbers and they didnt hold the canvas tight enough they were very flappy and the cord streched to easy

I have used them and they work really well.
I replaced some on the Montpelier we used in October and again had to relace one whilst in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago.
I always carry some with me when camping.

I've been looking for the longer thinner ones for inside (kitchen curtain) peggin out and curtain loops but decided to DIY with shock cord. Does the job well.
