We live in South Lincs, near Bourne... not far from Stamford. Weather here is generally ok. I'm led to believe that it's one of the dryest counties, but I'm from Derbyshire originally, so not too sure how reliable that is!

I think that October is a lottery wherever you go. Where in Lincolnshire were you thinking?

Looks like we are going to go, just needs a bit of exta planning as in hat to take with regards the cold.

We are looking at the Oakhill Leisure site at Norton Disney, was there for a week during the summer so know it has good drainage, flat etc.  Didn't want to chance a site we've never been to at that time of year.
