booked 3 nights at south breazle for a few quiet days after easter.  Not booked anywhere for easter weekend yet, want some where with loads to do for the little un!

I love that site... Probably my fave one of the lot... (Rumour has it there may well be a review in Camping magazine in next months issue, but it'll read rather a lot like one of the reviews on here [;)]... Not sure how busy sites get after having a review in Camping mag, prob doesn't make that much difference, but I've booked the week I want to go just in case)...

ADL - I picked the site on the strength of your very enthusiastic review on here so it better be good lol17

Told me dad where we're going and he's booked it for the easter weekend and staying on for the few days we're there aswell.  I'd ask them for a bit of a discount ADL as they've made a few quid out of your review.

Bloody 'ell... No pressure on if you don't enjoy it then lol... It's quiet, showers are clean, it's very inexpensive IMO for the South West, has massive, massive pitches, a water tap on your pitch, massive field in the middle for the kids to play on, friendly owners... We really did enjoy staying there.... Most of the campers we talked to have either stayed there before, or would return, as we are going to next May Half Term (although it falls first week of June)... It is miles from anywhere, but that's what we liked... 30 minutes to the coast... 10 minutes to the supermarket... Suited us - hope you enjoy it the same...

I submitted the same review to camping magazine (don't ask), and I believe it may be published in the next issue, so I expect she may get a bit of business from that so I booked early, and persuaded another family to come with us this time...

Enjoy! (And let me know if your expectations live up to the review I wrote)...

ADL

PS Aren't there lots of other "enthusiastic" reviewers that you could have picked instead of me? I feel all pressured now lol

ha ha, no pressure, all the reviews of the place were positive it's just your's stuck in my memory, think it's cos I recognise the name from these boards.

Interesting point you make about it being inexpensive for the southwest though, we love the area but are finding it increasingly expensive. Been looking at all singing all dancing sites for the easter weekend and there all coming in at £25 a night plus, we payed £17 a night at Hendra in Newquay last easter but didn't want to travel that far this year.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it... If the review gets properly published next month, it would be interesting to see how much extra business they get... I've got a two week holiday to book in August, if the review busts their bank then maybe I should ask for a freebie lol

Love the place, they're quite adept at parting you from your cash and I had issues with the cancellation fee when I booked last year but I really like the place.  The kids love the train rides with Henry the hippo in the morning and the entertainment is good for kids and adults.  We've been going for a few years now

I did notice that they like to charge for everything I thought it was a bit of a cheek when they told me I had to pay £1.90 a night for the car!!!!!

But we really like the look of the sight and thought it would be fab for the kids!!!! We aso paid an additional £15 to request a specific pitch. We have requested Oak Field (322) any experience of that location?

hindsight is a wonderful thing but I wouldn't have bothered paying to reserve a specific pitch as most of the pitches are similar like I say, we've been going there for a few years now and only once been given what we considered to be a bad pitch, went to reception and told them we weren't happy and they moved us, easy!

Camped on oak once and it's ok as are most of the fields. As long as you stay away from holly and elm I reckon you're ok!
