I have succumbed to my OH needs and agreed to him buying a new modeo car but this does mean we will be camping for every holiday instead of camping and package. we normally have a sunshine break in october half term but I have just booked a haven campsite. Does anyone have experience of these sites? I booked haven because the nights will be dark and maybe cold so at least our two children will be entertained!

We have used haven - found the site busy when we went (easter last year) but lots of entertainment facilities for young children. So wasnt a problem.

Some bits of haven can cost you money - sorry !!! - for example you have to walk thro a huge room of arcade machines and mini rides to get to the entertainment lounge - very clever on havens part but pretty difficult to mums and dads on a budget !!!

We managed to book a special offer week and enjoyed it and had lovely weather ! so no complaints from us !!

Hope you enjoy !!!!   - just blindfold the kids eyes and provide ear muffs !!!17

Camped at Haven in mablethorpe a couple of times when our kids were young. Didnt

are for it too much myself as it was over-busy during the summer. but there appears to be plenty for young ones to do. They spent most of the time in the pool

We have used most haven sites over the years some cleaner than others, 'Thers plenty to keep the kids entertained,yes the club rooms are noisy,bright flashing lights over the shops to entice the kids but you are on holiday and the kids love it i used to give mine an allowance each day and when it was spent that was it till the next day.
We had many a memorable holiday on haven/butlins depends what sort of holiday you like.

We use the Haven sites early and late season, when it gets dark early and the weather is cooler, we make full use of the entertainment (pools, club, etc). Some sites are very good some a little shabby, personally we love em, whether camping with or without children.

Used Haven at Prestatyn a few years ago, it was filthy. Won't be going back!
