I bet my tomato plant that sat outside our tent this year gave a few people a chuckle.

I used to go camping with my Wilderness Beaver - a fibreglass canal boat.

It used to get some odd looks, but it cost 8k not 30k, and it was the size of a huge 6 berth caravan.

And, of course, let's not forget the Caraboat (I've had one) the Cara-Cruiser, and all the other amphibious caravans which have been made over the years.

Two chaps turn up in a minibus and take out the smallest two man tent you have ever seen

Now I thought that one would stay in the minibus and one in the tent

Nope!..........................Two in the tent

Marvellous stuff

Although saying that my wife and I stayed in our new 9 birth just to check it out for the first time  and im sure we got a few lifted eye brows especially when we went to a wedding later that day and came out of the tent aptly dressed.

And for those that read the earlier threads we don’t have a 4x4 so it wasn’t us

So do I!

Mind you, I'd have to be careful not to pop out to the loo during the night 171717

Perhaps a caraboat may come in quite handy on some of the campsites nowadays

I may just get one of those with a sea view wind break and a captains hat for the missus

Did anybody try and go to Glenridding campsite Cumbria a few weeks ago or should I say mud site!

Jeepers I felt for those that had booked not knowing there was a cross country motor bike thing going on......on the campsite it seemed!

I have a perfect test to see if it's muddy outside the tent....

I push the OH outside quickly- if she stays upright it's ok, if she rapidly disappears in a downward direction followed by a liquid, slapping sound then it's muddy 1717

Once saw a couple arrive on site with a tiny, vintage caravan - it looked great, lots of wood panelling and green paintwork. Once they'd levelled the van, their next job was to put up ... a hanging basket full of flowers and plants!
Reminds me of us a couple of weeks ago. My mum and I exhibit fuchsia's and we were showing at Harrogate Show a few weeks ago. We transported all our plants down in the caravan and while the show was on we stayed at Ripley. The show finished on the Sunday but I had a few extra days off work,so rather than pack up and come straight home we decided to stay on site until the Tuesday so our awning was packed with a wonderful display of hanging baskets, hanging pots, standards and bushes. As we were right next to the duck pond and everyone had to pass us to feed the ducks it provided a wonderful talking point

Overnight stop off in Somerset this year -  just finished pitching our Baltic Sea L - when middle-aged biker arrives and pitches the smallest tent you ever saw ( proper "biker tent" )  he then goes of to the local pub - later to be joined by rather petite lady friend - who he takes back to the tent.  She later drives off home leaving biker alone.

following day he produces much wider tent - which he promtly pitches and then take down tiny tent - erm,,,, odd

So I guess his "guest" for night 2 may be somewhat larger than the previous night ! LOL  - 17
