I've got a new tent that hasn't been used this season and was going to store it in the garage along with the sleeping bags, airbeds etc. I kept the tent that we had last year there and it was ok. However, the tent we have got now was considerably dearer and am worried that it may get damp. Sleeping bags and airbeds are in an airtight box. Should I keep the tent in the garage or keep it in the house?? What do you guys do?
last year i put mine in our green bin as its only used for garden and dont need it in winter, then wheeled it into garage as the green bin is mouse proof, it was fine this year when we got it out
As long as the garage is dry and weatherproof it should be fine. In our old house our tent was stored in the garage. In our current house it is stored in what is efectively a large outside cupboard. It has also been fine (in total about 8 years). Othwerwise it would again be in the garage Both are brickbuilt structures.
Friends store their in their garage and that has also been fine.
keep ours in the house, all our kit stays in here, have it all stored in a few different cupboards, think the loft would be fine as well unless your prone to mice, we had mice inthe loft of our old house and they ate most of our christmas decorations, thankfully they never got into the main house and we caught them all
