Hi, Yeomans are selling a Peakland Windbreak (5m x 140cm) for £12.95 in their clearance sale. Does anyone know if they are ok, seems a very good price!

Good price, but as it's polyester with steel poles like the tent ones, it'll need guying left right and centre. The stripey one next to it wouldn't need as much guying if you like the beachy style.
I've already got a Gelert one which cost at least double that and it's been fine, though you need to guy them really well like you say. I like the stripey ones but I think the poles are solid lengths and we are stuck for packing space as it is, I don't think they'll fit. I'm certainly tempted to go for the peakland one, it just seemed TOO good a price, if you know what I mean!

I know what you mean. We're struggling for space in our little 206 as it is. For that same reason we got a matching one for our Vango at £22.99 from Somerset Camping and thought that was good, but Yeomans are doing it for £19.99 !
As it happens we'll be at their Ilkley store tomorrow to pick up an Outwell heater we got for £19.99 so will be having a good luck round while we're there
At £12.95 you can't really go wrong. Go for it, you know you want to
We bought one early this year when they were £19.95 and very happy with it the poles have springs in so they do not fall apart like some when you are put them through the windbreak when putting it up, it is solid fabric blue in color and the guys are bright orange and it comes with V pegs We used it in Tenby the first week of august when we had a bad storm in the night,
I got up in the morning with the thought I would have to go looking for our windbreak but there it was it had moved a bit but all pegged in and stood proud and I have just bought a second one, I had popped down last Friday to Yeoman's I was there to have a look round to see what they had in the sale very happy to get one at a knock down price and I picked up a Outwell fan heater when I was there as well
thats great, I've ordered one. My Gelert one has been fine so far and not fallen over or anything. Glad to hear the Peakland one is the same - thanks for that.

I've just got a peakland windscreen - but which way up is it supposed to go? It has a grey panel with writing on which clearly goes at the bottom, and metal rings along the other edge (must be the top). Instructions say ensure tops of poles are led through the metal rings on top of windbreak. (That can only mean the spike - the other end of the pole has a rubber 'foot') Next instruction: Push spikes on the pole into the ground... - then peg securely with elastic rings beside the poles. So - to push spikes into the ground I have to turn the thing upside down and then there are no elastic rings! That can't be right can it???
Someone help please?? Or have I got a dud?
Have taken it back to Yeomans - the others in the shop were the same - the woman said the instructions are generic - so the "With ground spikes for extra stability" is rubbish - there aren't any. And there are not enough pegs to guy the windbreak and put one at the foot of each pole. Not very impressed. Have taken a refund.
