Hi Gally

Have to recommend Ty Parke near St Davids.

A really nice site, St Davids close by and a nice beech not far away

and very friendly owners to boot

We only go camping to see what we have forgotten and what we need to get for next time. If only we could remember where we put the list..................

We went to Anglessey and Snowdonia this year and stayed at 2 good sites which are reviewed on this web site.

The site at Anglessey was Home Farm Caravan Park, good clean site, good pitches ehu if you want and near beaches and good walks, not too far from Lancashire.

Snowdonia which you pass by before Anglessey and has Snowdon to climb! We stayed at Beddgelert in Snowdonia at the Cae Due Campsite which is in stunning countryside and again facilities excellent, ehu if needed. Beddgelert is a small village, nice pubs with river running through. Can hire bikes nearby and do forest cycling and plenty of walking round here.

This is all North Wales so not too far from your location.

The Cae due campsite and Home Farm are good sites, well kept, and although children are welcome on these sites if you have no children these sites are quite good because they are quite peaceful sites which you may appreciate.

Also you could try Yorkshire Dales which are great for walking, villages and pubs. We like Studfold Farm in Nidderdale which is near Pateley Bridge, nice site, good walks, couple nice pubs near.

Hope this gives you some ideas!
