Couldnt find anything on Ebay or Google,it seems that most picnic rugs and tent carpets(tents also) are made in China so there is little chance of finding the materials here as we have surrendered our factories.Good old Maggie Thatcher AKA The Destroyer.Mick.
Having just returned from our first solo camping trip this past weekend, we were very glad of our carpet. With the footprint, sown in groundsheet and Outwell carpet it was quite warm underfoot. As we have the 'no shoes inside rule' hopefully it will stay clean. We've got the awning for our Ohio XL and change into indoor shoes/slippers in that part of the tent.
We had a carpet for our Outwell montana, it wasn't a monty carpet but one for another outwell, a minnisota 4 i think? it wasn't the correct size but a bit smaller ((( and less than half price compared to the monty carpet)) but it still did the job, it was cosy to sit on for the children and us in the evenings whilst playing cards or games. Also i did notice it came up clean after every short trip, all we did was to sweep it off before packing it away. Also if we were away for a full week i use to lay it out at home and hoover it!!! This is the one thing i am not looking forward to in the TT not sure what to put on the ground in the awning!

2013 Season.
Upgraded from a TT to a caravan.
Loving it!
Roll on summer :-)
I eventually bought two picnic rugs off eBay...together cost just £13. They won't be 'wall to wall' but they should be big enough to cover most of the area I walk on and small enough to be picked up and shaken outside.
