I have had a quick troll throught the sites listed on here that are open all year, but was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good site that is open all year in the northern area, anything in the yorkshire, cumbria regions.
I am trying to organise a couple of winter camping trips possbily end jan next year and were wondering what your experiances are?
My only stipulations would be to have electric hookup, large pitches, as we have a lot of tentage and a good pub near by would be desirable.
We use an adults only site just south of Weatherby on the edge of the Harewood estate during the winter its called Maustin Park. I think it just closes in January.
large pitches, sheltered site and a brilliant bar/restaurant. Check out the reviews on the site search

Sykeside campsite at Brotherswater in the lakedistrict is open all year and has a pub on site with really good food, lots of walks from the site, see link below for reviews.
We have just been to Marffit Head farm, near pickering, they have large pitches and electric hook up. There is a pub 3 mile down the road. It is a dairy farm, there are plenty of toilets and showers. It cost us £10 a night in a tent £4 each £2 for ehu. It's on this site. About 17mile to Whitby and about 4mile? to Pickering. We also took our dog. Were going to try and book for this weekend but after all the rain they are trying to sort out the field, so not taking bookings for that part, although I think they are still taking caravans in the other field.
