For that kind of cash you can purchase the finest BRITISH trailer tent, luxurious jobbies with all mod cons unless of course you are planning a Sahara expeditionary project or perhaps taking your Land Rover and trailer along a dried up river bed in the Australian outback. If you are spending a couple of weeks at Fforest Fields, British is your best bet.

I admire your patriotism, but we spent 2 years searching all the British manufacturers before going to johnny foreigner.
It gives me no joy to report that build quality, materials used, innovative design are so superior elsewhere, that for a once in lifetime purchase you go abroad.
It has nothing to do with where you camp but how you camp

Now your talking Voffer- thats what I had in mind! The one I intend to build (prototype?) Has similar attributes- tho the electrical side will be contained in the 'sideboard' and removed 'enbloc' to the tent once erected. Thanks for your thoughts--

Voffer & V8trikemids, i have an old trailer tent chassis and it pretty much has all of these thing except the boiler, water tank and Cherry on top!
We use the trailer for carrying and the gubbins on the back as kitchen storage! Could you customise old trailer tents to do the job?

Had thought of 'alterations' too- doing mine on a strict budget as Im skint, otherwise a more expensive base wouldve been the starting point---
