Hi
Look for the fill weight and the fabric... A polycotton outer will breath and also wear well and a brush cotton (flanel style) inner will be warm and comfy. A fill weight of 300gms or 2 x 150 will be fine and maybe a bit to warm in the hotter months. Make sure you get a bag with a zip down both sides of the bag, that way if one person is hot they can unzip their side and the other person can stay nice and snug.
I think one of the best value and comfy bags ive used is the Wynnster Ranger Double sleeping bag, check the spec, it good. You may find it hard to get the bag due to Wynnster changing hands and the product range being cut right down for 2010 but im sure if you look you will find the bag.
