Woke up at 6am today because I was having a dream about camping.

It was our last day on site and we had had a bit of a get together with the rest of the campers.
Next day OH had to work so he left us to pack up ready for him coming to pick us all up after work.
I took the girls off for a while and came back to site to find our tent and the next couple of tents all taken down and neatly folded ready for rolling and bagging up.
I though that was very nice of the site owners to do that for us so went off out again.

Came back a little while later - no OH in site but also the camp site was empty!!

Went to reception to ask where the tents were - Oh!! they said we have no idea, thought you'd all gone home.
They went on to say that the 2 men and woman that had arrived the night before were a little suspicious and when a thrid man arrived to join them during the evening get together they thought that even stranger but didn't think to tell anyone of their concerns. They then phoned the Police.

On returning home we walked in to find TV etc etc all stolen as well

Then I woke up ....phew!!!

Wonder what it means - as I had been talking about rearranging the tents and clearing out our little room and moving them all up stairs into that.

Anyone into dream analysis??

Anyone else dreaming about camping?

I think it means you have a secret wish that all campsite owners would take down your tent at the end of a break but in reality you know that if it disappears then it's been nicked lol!! how about that for a bit of dream analysis on a snowy Monday morning

And yes, I've had a couple of dreams about camping recently - which reminds me I'd better book our half term trip now - don't think the site will be too full though!!

I dreamt last week that when I got to the site out pitch was tiny and our tent wouldn't fit. Then the site owner took us round to look at the site and the views. We saw the sun setting (I dream of this a lot) but when I looked down at the beach it was full of cats. Strange.

Classic symptoms of camping deprivation syndrome, sadly very common at this time of year! A cure will arrive with the spring weather and the first smell of tent!

Hope we get some more strange camping dreams.
Clare I'm sure a beach full of cats must mean something.
Might google it and see what it comes up with.

I've spent all day moving tents about now. Labeling all the bags and bits and pieces. Cleaning out the room upstairs and filling it back up again (and under the bed). keeping the montpelier downstairs ready for the off at Easter.
Got a couple of stove and grills that are surplus to requirements but not sure if I shouldn't just hold onto them just in case

My analysis of that dream...A fear that all the amassed and cherished gear might suddenly and unexplainibly disappear or be taken away from you leading to no more camping trips....The NO MORE CAMPING TRIPS being the biggest fear expressed in that dream...A subconscious worry perhaps that you might not be able to get off for a while..till the gear was replaced...But don't quote me(or take much notice) Cos I aint no Sigmund Freud (sp)..

Ha crikey can't decipher that one apart from the usual tent/house security issues which play on the mind from time to time.

I often dream about camping, normally its bright Sunshine & the children are running the long grass in slow motion with big grins on their faces - a bit like the Outwell vids really!!!

I usually leave out the bit where OH and I are in full waterproofs, 'having words' each other whilst sploshing in mud hammering in pegs!!!!

Last summer while camping in Cornwall, I had a recurring dream of being on the commuter/cattle train up to London. Then I would wake up .....

I think it means that you go out and meet a policeman who wants to take up camping with his friends, you sell him all your camping gear leaving you to go out and buy lots of lovely new stuff

Question(not meaning to detract from Keely's post)

But how come when dreams turn to camping its always high summer you..the spouse..and kids(if any) are all happy.. Birds are twittering..your having a fantastic day topped off by a glorious sunset..

No one ever reports of dreaming about it chucking it down all day..everyone being grumpy..or waking up with your airbed floating in inches of water cos there was a thunder storm during the night...
Yep..all peace and tranquility in our camping dreams..Well in this house anyway.........

That's odd because I had been txting my ex Boss about something and talking about camping. He is ex boss as he left in Jan to become a Police Officer!!
