Well, strolling around Go Outdoors on my day off (absolutely glorious sunny day!)I am now the proud owner of a Montana 6,hopefully it was a bargain at £399! Now how do i hide it from DH? Oh what will i do with my Oregan5?

Sounds like a good price to me especially as the 2009 model is going for £379.99.  I've owned this tent and its a great tent.  I did the same thing bought it with carpet and a few other pieces from Go Outdoors and then force fed the OH red wine one Friday evening and broke the news to him when he was too tipsy to care!

Sell your oregan mid March onwards and you'll prob get a good return on it - then you can buy more goodies for the Montana!!!

Well if my OH came home with the front awning for our Monty she would not need to hide it or ply me with wine to tell me. She would get a great big sloppy kiss.

Aah Floggitt,just wish ale males were so understanding like you!! Well it is sat in the middle of the lounge floor at mo........just so i can see it..(in bag!) My Hubby is in Afghan working,so i have got a while to think of an excuse, I like the idea of red wine, his fav, so after abstinence it won't take much to make him light headed.lol. Is it quite easy to put up,as it will prob be just myself and the kiddies?

Well Jayne if he is away in Afghan his abstinence from something other than wine would be enough to persuade any man.
I guess he is a serviceman i which case you have my full support and respect.

I find the Monty easy to put up if you follow this youtube video takes me about an hour to get erect (pun intended) and all the gear inside beds ready.

Bless you floggitt, he actually works for a company that is employed by mod, he's getting on a bit,he says, ( a young 60nxt yr)and wanted to achieve something, while he can and do his bit. An hour to get erect....How am i going to manage that on my own!

You will have it up in 20mins but there is a lot of pegs to bash in! The guy on youtube takes 8 mins start to finish. It takes me a hour but that includes getting all the kit inside and setup.
Hope you got the carpet for it too.

I've had a few "Impulse" buys while walking round Go Outdoors myself Jayne...But never stretched to a Monty 6.. A Hi Gear Gobi 4 man tent being my current record..
