I would not use in the tent unless it is very well ventilated. Poisionous fumes come off the heat beads / charcoal and people have been reported to not wake up after bringing their BBQ's into their tents to keep warm

Use it to cook with but after that DO NOT use for central heating.
Take the coals out of the Cobb with a pair of tongs coll down in cold water. Let dry and use again.
