Just found out.. Go Outdoors are opening a new store in Swindon!!!!.. Great news for me !..

Will save me having to Trek to Oxford or Bristol for me Fix..

Checked the location and its gonna be where the old Wickes used to be by Big Tesco's

Roll on April !!!

You would think that in Cumbria there would be one - perfect place to have one with all the captive campers all year round!!

I would like one in Plymouth!! we don't have any decent camping shops, went to the one at Wolverhampton last weekend and wasted hours looking around.

Agree with you Keely, there seems to be a distinct lack of camping stores in areas typical of camping.

Living on the Yorkshire coast which is obviously a holiday hotspot! (not at Easter, hey!!) the nearest GoOutdoors is Stockton, which is about an hour and a quarter away.
Other options are two very small Yeomans at York(40 mins away)and Hull (an hour away) which does have a decent Winfields.

Yes there are caravan accessories places dotted about, but no camping shops.

Don't know about anyone else but if we are camping and heading out for the day and we are near a camping shop, we always have a wander in and usually end up spending.

These big stores are inevitably sited in cities, Sheffield has GoOutdoors, Towsure and Decathlon (no doubt there's probably a Yeomans somewhere!

Its not fair!

I'd go along with that!

We're stuck with Penrose at Truro (bit expensive I found) or a very limited choice at Yeomans in Teignmouth. There is still Outdoor Experience at Ashburton, but again, very limited

Wish we had one a little near - Wigan is a good 45 minute drive away. Worst part is after coming off the motorway. last time it took us as long after leaving the M58, as it did getting to that point.

I have heard that they are also opening one in Blackburn.

Not a company I go to when I need stuff but I understand a lot of people on here do use them.

Nice 1, just down the road for me, I take it the buyology store didn't do too well then.

Have to say go outdoors isn't my favourite camping shop but it will be cheaper than a trip to attwools every time I fancy a bit of tent porn!

Im not a great fan of the store either, prefer other stores, i just found the whole place [wigan] a mess just could not get my head round it. Resonable prices for those with a discount card. but without nothing special. Been to other places and found the ranges much better and much wider selections than go outdoors.

We've just had our first Yeomans open in Central Scotland. Still a bit of a trek to get to, but a lot closer than the Gretna Green one. I have a feeling that Go outdoors will be expanding all over the place in the next few years. Here's hoping. I love visiting and its great that I can take my dog in too.
