I'm so excited as I'm off to get my new tent today from Cross Camping. We've spent all winter picking the perfect tent and now were going to get it!

 

We've picked the Outwell Vermont XL and I've booked the test run in France for 3 weeks time.

 

Just had to tell someone, sorry.

I'm back with my new tent and yes, a few other little bits that I just had to have!

Can I just say a big "Thank you" to Gary and his wife for all the help they gave us whilst at his shop. Not only did he sell us the tent but he gave us good advice on the easiest way to erect it which will make our life so much easier. It is so refreshing to go to a well stocked camping shop and actually be greeted by real campers! If you are near enough to visit them in Royston then I recomend it, if not they are on line at www.thetentfactory.co.uk

I've now even booked a camping trip in 3 weeks to try it out!

Yes Jane, we did the same ! brought the vermont xl and now booked in 3 weeks to Sacre farm peterborough to try it out for just for 3 days before we take it out again in the summer! Can't wait to pitch it out (the "Gary" way) seems alot more logical than it does on youtube!  will be taking his phone number with us just incase though!

Yes Gary's way is the best, but just be aware that if its breezy you need to get some guy ropes pegged in REALLY fast. It's a lot of material to be flapping around. We've got pitching down to about 40 mins now, probably 50% of that time is spent arguing though!

Cracking buy, we had a vermont and nothing but praise due to the really bad storms it protected us against while others folded around the site. Nice purchase
