Hello breadknife71 (and everyone else!!)

I really love your idea of a school camp out.  Do you have any more tips/comments, ideas etc of this event.  We're thinking of doing it and have to get everything organised rather quickly so anything you have would be useful.

I think this is a fab idea and Im going to suggest it at next PTA meeting.  Son's school is actually just down the road from Riverside (Skipton) and has huge playing fields so its in a nice setting too.

So far we have mentioned the Big Community Camp Out in the school news letter's "diary of events" and already generagted much interest. I have already had requests from people who want to come but don't have a tent, so I;m starting a list of people who have spare tents they're willing to lend out!

I am already lending my flowery 2 man and the 3 berth tents and possibly my 4 and 8 berth tents as I may end up taking "Holi" down for a bit of fun!!!!

With any luck it is going to be on ours for a few weeks!!
We are planning a "freedom Friday" when the children get to choose an activity run by the staff on a Friday afternoon based on things the staff enjoy doing and want to share with the children. One of the groups I said I would be happy to run was "camping skills"
Hopefully this is going to start next week!!

Hi,

In addition to all the things I already mentioned, this year we have a Line dancing d.j. or whatever they call them, to teach up all line dancing! We are not charing per pitch this year but per person, £10 per adult £5 per child.

Tips - everybody to have a wristband or something that identifies them as having paid to be there.   Do not allow day visitors as people will try and sneak in. If on school field, only allow the gates to be open between a certain time for cars coming in and pedestrian gates closed otherwise you will have many unwelcome guests.
