Sounds lovely Chopsy. I'm sure your sister will hear me as I'll probably be the only one around with a N. Irish accent!
I'd like to check out your village too and especially interested in little pubs with great food! I'll be there between the 14th and the 22nd of July so maybe we'll bump into you!
Our main reason for visiting this area is Longleat, to fulfill a promise to my kids who are avid fans of the TV show. I came upon this web site whilst looking at the surrounding area for places to camp - hence the username which was a spur of the moment thing! I didn't know we were going to be within distance to Centreparcs - all the better!
If you want good pubs with great food you cannot go wrong with your hosts at the Bell. They also do some great events out there which no doubt you will miss - cider festival, beer festival etc.

Don't tell everyone but this is THE place to live. Have a look round historic frome, frome. Shopping is crap but there is so much else.
If you kids are into animals the local farmers auction sale of animals at standerwick each Wednesday might be interesting.
