No because of the material your tent is made of you do not need to weather it. However, its always a good idea to pitch a tent when you get a new one prior to your trip to make sure everything is ok with the tent and also to get an idea of how it goes up.
Nice tent had a look around one yesterday, better design than the old Diablo, enjoy it and have fun.
