Hello again, have just been fortunate enough to buy a bear lake 4 and am extremely happy with it and all of my other kit apart from one thing- tent lighting,,,,
For years we have been using a 12v strip light plugged into the car battery and this worked brilliantly until the inevitable happens and you either cant get the car started in the morning, or you drive off shortly after sunrise dragging parts of the tent and a flickering lamp behind the car much to the amusement of onlookers
This made me look towards ufo type LED lights which are brilliant and pour down light like there's no tommorrow, the only thing is its a very cold blueish light and it destroys any the snug feeling of being wrapped up in a tent, also makes the recent cold weather camping feel like a polar expedition
What i'm looking for is a safe (not gas) light source or any ideas or solutions that you may be using out there!!,
We are trying to steer clear of EHU to keep the flexibility of being able to pitch anywhere we want and not have to prebook sites and pitches with a hookup, so mains based lighting is off the menu
Cheers, Jack
