We have been looking for a new big tent since early last year and we, well me has ummed and arred for ages .hubby fell in love with an Outwell Arkansas 7 as soon as he saw it. Being challenged in the wallet department it was just his little dream last year.

In more fortunate circumstances this year and I finally cracked and we bought one at the weekend, cant wait for our first trip but now that I have seen the size and weight of the bags Im seriously worried we wont be able to pitch the darn thing. Will have to do a one nighter close to home as the garden isnt big enough for a practice pitch, DH keeps telling me the kids are big enough to help, but frankly I think the dog will be more useful!!!

Still cant wait to give it a go though, I keep opening the camping cupboard and looking at stuff, honestly its worse than waiting for christmas as a kid.

You bet I did! Even the Mrs who has refused to camp up until this point came with us and she actually loved it too!!

Took a while to set it up but im sure it will improve with practice - getting everything back in the bag was a job though!

I get the feeling if this one isnt too hard to put up the Carolina may find itself all lonesome in the cupboard unless hell freezes over and we get away without the kids!!!

Our tent is getting a bit tired, did three years in it then had last year off.

I fancy getting a new one but it feels like sacrilege!

To the OP, that is a biggun! I'm sure that two people will have no trouble putting it up though!
Send the kids off to play, ours have yet to be of any use!
