After having my tent under the stair since Christmas I was keen to get out at the 1st oppourtunity. We managed a trip to Callow Top in Ashborne for 2 nights.
My new Ohio XL went up like a dream, although the only bit which really stumped us was working out which way round the groundsheet went but after careful consideration we figured that they are a 6m*5m including the awning so the ground sheet was 5m x 5m, lol this did take us around 15mins to decide. 
I was very muchly impressed with the living space of the tent and I had manged to bag some great bargins matching the tent mostly from www.intertent.co.uk (even by some cheeky email asking for reductions on stuff!)
The campsite itself was ok, but I did feel a little hemmed in although no-one was near us the regimental way in which the pitches were set out made my feel quite uncomfortable, and all in all a bit to much commercialised for my liking, yes the toliets were very clean and warm and there was a night guard on each and evert night, this much organisation is to much like you havens and butlins for me.
The best quote of the weekend was from the campers who only appeared after dark, because it was FREEZING we went to bed around 9.30ish and they seemed to wake up. flashing their headlights as a torch and making a lot of noise.
In the morning we were packing away and the lady decided to make small talk one of her comments and I quote " WOW, thats a big-un it bet you were warm last night whilst we were freezing in out tent" I did wonder if the beast of a tent looked that great that it implied that we had some sort of magical heating, it did make me chuckle  Seen as though the tents have no access to EHU.
