I have an EasyCamp Licata 4 as my new tent. I was wondering, is it possible to leave the bedroom pod attached to the flysheet when packing tent away? If so, what is the best way to fold tent up inorder to fit it back in the bag?
I heard somewhere that it is possible with this tent, but would like to hear from folks who actually have done this, before I give it a try.

we've got an easycamp milano 5 which is pretty similar to the licata, and we always leave the bedroom pod in. When we let all the poles out we lay the tent out and then follow the fold and fold in half method until the tent is like a long sausage and will fit width ways in the bag, we then roll until in it is small enough to go in the bag. It's no hassel to do.
Thanks, Igmagib. Took a loook at your tent. I suppose its trial and error. The thing niggling me, is that with a SIG, it is quite a thick bundle of tent material to roll.
Do the fibreglass poles go through the sleeves ok with the bedroom pod in place? Do they snag at all because if it?
I am hoping I will be able to leave the pod in place, as it will be so much quicker to strike camp, each time.

We have a monty 6 and leave the pods in if the tent is compleatly dry and no condensation.
I have given up putting it back into the bag.Im going down th Aldi this afternoon as they have some dry stuff sacks in.Hoping tent will fit into one
I have one tent (Vango Oregon 400) that it's possible to leave the bedroom pod in as pitch in one, or take it out. I've tried it both ways out of interest. It's far faster (for me anyway) to take the pod out and fold it seperately, it goes more neatly into the bag, it's easier to thread the poles while pitching and there's less weight (this less chance of breaking) on the poles while putting the tent up. Also, it's hugely easier to dry the tent out when necessary. Anyway, how long does it take to toggle a pod in and out? Two minutes? Three?
It's possible to pitch both our tents with the pods in but, like Val find it easier to separate them. Clipping in the lower toggles is also a handy job for one of the children!
we have a Montana 6 and a 12 we have no problem folding and rolling the tent away. but we do tend to just drop the bedroom pod off the fly sheet leaving the base connected, just so its easer to lift to pitch next time
I find it easier to remove the bedroom pod. The poles can be a bit sluggish to thread through the sleeve when the pod is in place. Also, if you have to pitch quickly in rain, you can get the tent up without risk of the inner pod getting wet. As Val says, it only takes minutes to toggle the pod in place when you're inside in the dry.
