We took the plunge last Saturday and got the Bear Lake 6 with the 20% discount at Yeomans (got the last one too). We tested it the same night and it's a great tent but just wondering how everyone folds their BL6 before packing away. Tent is currently on the banister drying off from the rain on Sunday and will need packing away soon, so any tips will be most welcome.

Fold it in half, length ways, and then in quarters, before rolling the quarter up. Thankfully Outwell have made their bags bigger, it seems. Our previous tent was a 2008 Hartford XL and it was an absolute pig to get back in the bag. Our new Bear Lake slides in easily with some spare room too.
The groundsheet goes in with the poles, so the only thing in the tent bag is the tent, the front canopy and the sleeping inner.
We leave the groundsheet attached... Then we fold until we've got the perfect width to fit in the bag and then roll up very tightly... That leaves on big heavy bag, and one very light one containing just the poles... We all find our own way that's easiest...

We leave the groundsheet attached but take out the inners. Leave the front door open about 30cms, otherwise its very difficult to put up next time.
Then fold one third over widthwise and then the other third over the first. This leaves you with the perfect width for the tent bag. Then fold in half and half again lenghtwise, then roll up to form a perfect package for the bag. Stand the rolled up tent on its end and feed the bag over it.
Wife and I can now put the BL6 up in about 30minutes flat and pack it away in the same time!
