You have asked exactly what what I spent hours this afternoon searching for.
I have a very skinny 6 year old DD, she doesn't have a pick on her (unlike her mother ) and I'm worried about her being cold. She has swimming lessons in a wet suit THAT is how cold she gets I have looked at a Vango Midi Wilderness for her but it is only a 2/3 season, ideally I would like a 3/4
Any ideas??

The rating on some of the kid s bags seem a little pessimistic to me.
We have Vango Nitestar midi for the 5yo. It says 2 seasons, but it seems warmer than to to me, and it has lots of loft in the filling. DD2 certainly has never been to cold it it (we have camped in a pretty cool October). I think she more often be too hot as she often wear a fleecy suit as well.
DD2 , now 9 has been using the wifes old 3 season bag happily as well (and it's probably not 3 seaosn anymore)
I suspect there isn't much of market for kids 4 season bags, so you would proabbly just need to buy adult ones - you can always tie the end up a bit to make it shorter, but we've never bothered.

Hi
We are new to all of this but I have just purchased two sprayaway comfort junior sleeping bags from world of tents, they arrived quickly too. I have spent many hours researching the junior ranges not alot of choice though.

Can I ask if anyone thinks a 4 season is excessive for this country? Will DD be too hot during the summer months?
It obviously depends on the person, and when you are going to use the bag. But yes, I'd say a 4 seaon bag is uneccessary for most people camping spring to early/mid autumn. And contarty to ex[pextations it seems to me that kids don't have problems with the cold but the adults do.
FWIW, we've just got back from Deers Glade in Norfolk. Nights were pretty cold (not sure of temps, but well down into single figures that is for sure - so around 7-5C?)
9yo daughter was in her new Snugpak Laponie 350 bag (3 season) she was snug and warm sleeping in short and t shirt PJ's (!). 6yo daughter was also snug and warm in fleecy suit in a Vango Midi (2-3 seaosns?) -though she generally ends up half out of the bag anyway

My two (9 & 5) both have Vango Nitestar midi's (on the advice of ny sister who has been using them for years) and if anything have got too warm in the summer. When we camped in April the little one was a bit cold so wrapped her in a fleece balnket inside the bag and she was fine. Am thinking of getting fleece liners for them so if it's very hot they can use them without the sleeping bag and obvoiously if very cold can use both. I think that will give us more flexibilty, given that in this country you never know what the temperature is going to be from one night to the next no matter what time of year! ( we have tried cotton liners but they just seem to get tangled up...)
