Can anyone please help us??  We have an Outwell Idaho L tent which we seem to have a problem when we take down.  The whole thing fills with so much air it resembles a bouncy castle!!  We have the bedroom doors open and also the front and porch doors zipped open.

We have had this tent for 2 years now and not yet seemed to master this - we look like novice campers when we take the tent down and have not seen anyone else with an Outwell have the same problem.

All suggestions gratefully received.  Thanks in advance

Hi , don't know what to tell you but we had the Idaho XL and after each fold the kids just flattened it out (i joined in too) cause i don't care who is watching or if they think or know we are novice campers, apart from that it sounds as if your doing nothing wrong.

Yep, i lay and roll on ours too

We start at the bedrooms pushing the air down to the front door, tried other way and we end up with a balloon!

Make sure the rings and pins are at the edge of the tent if you are going to walk or roll all over it. It is possible to get a pin stuck upright and pierce a hole through the material.

I fold mine in half so all the pins are on one side. Then I fold it in half again so it is a long rectangle the width of the bag. Then I fold it across the middle so it is a short rectangle the same size as the bag. Then I start rolling it from the folded edge so that all the air escapes out of the loose end, kneeling on it as I roll. Seems to work ok and I have never yet had the embarrassment of not being able to get it in the bag.

I always use to "roll twice" method on everything, from the sleeping bags and air beds to the tent and groundsheets - works a treat

It seems we are doing the right things - we do double roll and we do roll along it - sometimes we just have a family pile on!!

Looks like we will continue to amuse other campers on out site .
