I always find if I keep my feet warm I am warm.

So take your normal stuff and some thick socks

We were away the first weekend in June last year, and it was the best weather we've ever had for camping!  Nice and sunny and hot in the day, and not too chilly at night.  At least at that time of year, the night is short, so things can't get too cold, no matter what the weather.

Layers are the best plan.  You probably won't need winter woollies, but I took a couple of Peter Storm V-neck tops and a sweater, tee-shirts and jeans.  No need for long underwear that time of year!

We're planning a family camp, and an assault on Snowdon, the first weekend of June this year, and don't plan on taking anything heavier than sweaters and light kagoules.

Its allways a challenge with the weather in the UK and that is something we have no control over and can do nothing about it. At least these days there is so much great kit around to cope with it not like back in the olden days beofre gortex and inner tents.

I will say one year I was so fed up of not having nice summer weather I travelled 1400 miles to Souston in South West France and satyed at Camping L' Arial (BTW is a great site and lovely part of France) and it rained nearly constant for a week when usually when I go its hot and sunny.

One tip for camping in the UK is always have a good pair of shoes or wellies with you there is nothing worse then cold wet muddy feet

We always go away end May/June and have so far been lucky(past 4 years).  We will be going camping the same week so will book some sun!

I find if I go to bed before I get cold, I am fine. Cold during the day is more bearable.

A northwesterly weather type is expected to bring some spells of unsettled weather with temperatures starting normal for the time of year but becoming relatively cold again as we move into June. There are indications of above average rainfall amounts during the period, firstly over parts of northern UK but later southwestern and central parts appear to be the wettest. Otherwise rainfall amounts will be near normal
