Ok - I'm struggling with this one and trying to decide if it's some sort of wind up
Even if Go Outdoors is at the other side of Sheffield I would still have taken the tent back to them or phoned the store not emailed - you can get the number by googling. Sheffield isn't that huge and public transport is very good.
Go Outdoors is a very large operation and from time to time they are going to miss an email or two.
Why wouldn't you phone them - if you had time to email you had time to phone.
How long ago was this? Last summer?
If so why wait til now to complain about it
If it was just the shock cord that had broken then that's no big deal - you don't need it to hold the pole together and keep the tent up.
Great of Go Outdoors to come on and try to get to the bottom of it.
