Thinking of joining, because some of the site fees seem very reasonable. But does anyone know what they class as a family in there family deal prices, is it 2+2.Have emailed them, but looks like there is no one there till Monday

I think that was suggested a few weeks ago by someone who was thinking of joining but noticed there were only four boxes on the online application form to give children's ages, this impression might also given on this page.
However, the paper application form in the club magazine simply has a line to list "Ages of children 17 and under" with no suggestion of a limit.
The info I posted above (1 plus 5) was taken from the Club's Your Place in the Country 2010 (Club Sites List).
Presumably a family of more than six would need to book two pitches.
Well I took 7 of us (2 adults and 5 children) on a C&CC site last year and they were happy for us to have a single pitch even in high season. I just listed the 4 older children on our membership and then specified 5 children on the booking.
I hadn't previously looked at Family Deals in any detail, but they appear to be advantageous to any couple with two or more (6-17 year old) children.
Ignore my last comment about an additional pitch (made after re-reading "For families of two adults and up to four children under the age of 18, camping on one pitch") - if a member's family did need two pitches it looks as if the only additional charges would be those which would normally apply to Service (EHU) and Jumbo Pitches.
You have to work out which is the cheapest. For us it was more expensive to use the family deal. I suppose if you more than 2 children, it can work out cheaper
