I was just wondering which end I should have my head in the inner tent. Should it be by the door opening or the opposite end? I was not sure if its easier not to have to climb all over the bedding to get in or by having your head nearer the door there is risk of drafts? I could of course try it both ways but just wondered what others felt
we always sleep with our heads opposite end to the door ...if we did it the other way i would probably end up kicking dh in the head if i tried to get out wile he's sleeping LOL
Head uphill, always, otherwise you'll have a terrible nights sleep. Something to bear in mind while pitching.
As to feet or head to doorway, I prefer head to doorway if possible. I don't like the inner sloping down near my face much and that bit is always draughtier in a non-SIG tent. Also, unless you're prepared to allow drinks in the bedroom pods (eek!) how can your Hubby bring you a cup of tea in bed? At least if you've got your head at the door you can unzip it a bit and sit your cuppa out on the groundsheet in the living area.
Oh, and if it's hot, you can roll the doors wide open and have your head at the cooler end of the pod.
We always sleep feet to door. I don't really know why, just set up like that the very first time we went away and have done it like that ever since. Maybe I should try it the other way round??
Feet to the door...... then when the mad crazy eyed axe man my wife keeps telling me is outside the tent attacks you lose your feet first and can atleast bite him to death! sweet dreams....

Wife used to make me sleep on whichever side of the bed was nearer the door whenever we stayed in hotel in case the mad axe murderer came.
Think she thought the wet thwack of the axe seperating my head would wake her up and she could climb out the window while he admired his handy work.
I always sleep head to the door, its easier to get out in the middle of the night .
No balancing on airbeds to get to the other end , and easier to make the beds in the morning .
our beds fit the pods wall to wall, so cant get out at the sideof the bed .
In the Delta it's feet to the door, in the Beta it's going to be the other way around though as the iner slopes more at the end. Better remember that when we're pitching!
------------- If you go camping to "get away from it all" - why take it all with you?
Usually head to door, but does depend on the prevailing slope! Thats the only thing I don't like about the TT, someone gets to sleep in the far corner (usually hubby, even though he is claustrophobic and hates it )My excuse is that I need to be able to get out quickly as I am the only one who would hear if the children stirred in the night
Hmm -always with feet pointing down any slope we've not noticed when pitching javascript:AddSmileyIcon('') but, as there's only 2 of us (and the dog) sleeping in a pod made for 4, we tend to sleep "across" the tent so both heads and feet are by the door. Hope that makes more sense to you than it does to me now I've typed it!!

Feecamp
Like Feecamp we are going to throw the spanner in the works also as we mostly sleep sideways to the door but more importantly always head to the high point. It depends on your setup and pitch really as comfort is more important than at which end you sleep. Don't restrict yourselves just go with the pitch fall and what feels best each time.
