Lol Alphonso, see you have been reading their blog too.
sure have caraline... before this week (still under canvas as I type, last night though), I'd not had a camping fix this year so spent lots on the tinterweb checking out the sites i'm stopping at this year and daydreaming...
i've not stayed at humble bee before, have you?
when are you going in august? we're there last two weeks...
We went a couple of years ago Alphonso and had a lovely relaxing time. Its only a small site and the new showers etc look great. The old ones were the best we have ever seen too. All the other people were so nice when we went.
The people who own it are really friendly and we often had hens come at breakfast time looking for scraps. They have shrinking pigs too. We went to bed one night with a fully grown pig in the pen and when we got up there were 2 piglets. Hmmm wonder where the big pig went....bacon for breakfast anyone?
I really cant wait to go back. We are going the first week in August. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did the first time we went.
Marmalize we are not C&CC members and we have stayed and they never asked when we booked for this year either. Can see you have gone to our other favourite site in Filey, Centenary Way. God bless Filey.

thanks.....i know some so called C&CC sites operate a don't ask policy, didn't know if this was one.....
i really fancied visiting Humble Bee(perhaps just because it sounds 'cute'..or because camping has given me the freedom to go visit all my old childhood holiday destinations(must admit that was mostly limited to Scarboro/Brid/Filey/Whitby)..so far i have not been dissapointed, and i swear there is a shop in Filey that still has the same window display from 1972!!
Returned from our first camping trip on anglesey at St David's site. Second day, after a huge amount of approaching engine roar, a Ferrari pulled up to the camper van opposite our tent. Couldn't believe it, self tanned and chest haired to the max, kids with electric scooters and to top it all, at eight it pulled off the site with over the top engine revs so everyone had to look, and then at eleven pm arrived back to the same engine roars.
Thought it was very funny that they were trying to look so posh and becks, but in reality it was more like Wayne and waynetta if they had won the lottery :0)
not bitter, well slightly at the eleven pm engine roars I suppose!! Was dying for it to get a flat battery or something ;0)
