Was it a new tent???
Anyway, the thing to use on leaky seams is seam sealant. Erect the tent and paint on the seam sealant from the inside using a child's cheap paintbrush, making sure you get well over the stitching holes. Allow the sealant to dry for 24 hours before folding the tent otherwise it will stick to itself.
Hopefully that will solve the problem. If the actual flysheet is leaking though and it's an older tent, it may have started to delaminate from UV exposure. Is the flysheet crunchy, brittle , stiff or does it look milky or streaky on the inside? If so, time for a new tent.
