Hello there, My name is Tammy, & I am relatively new to camping , I went when I was small, and you could not stand up in a tent to pull your trousers on, and haven't things changed!   My husband is a 6'4 20 chap.  What camping chair would be most suitable for him, as our tent will be our home and we need our comforts..

Depends on how much you want to spend and how much space you've got to transport it.  I bought 4 cheapy cheap umbrella fold up style chairs when we started out.  My OH is also 6'4" and he doesn't mind the cheapy chair.  I HATE it as your bum sinks down low and then it cuts into the backs of your legs.  I bought myself an Outwell chair that I find much more comfortable (it doesn't have arms and is a bit like a folding canvas dining chair)  You can get some very comfy chairs but they tend to be bulkier and more expensive. The best advice is to get down to your nearest camping store and give a few a test 'sit'!

we have just bought the Royal commander chair and they are soooo comfy BUT very bulky, they have basically filled the space of our 2 travel cots that the little ones have grown out of this year!

Hi

Are they big enough for an adult to curl up in or just a kid?

Another vote for the Royal Commander here - just came back for 5 days with mine and it's really comfy - well worth the increased pack size IMHO..... oops just realised this is an old post resurrected.....

just a note.  ASDA have some folding camping chairs that hold more then most.  Can't remember how much at the moment, though.  Ozark Trail Brand, which is the parent companies brand in the USA.

Edit: Oversize Armchair maximum seated weight capacity: 300lb/136kg
