Valk_scot - its funny you say that. We were at Sherwood Forest Holiday Park last week and they use Laurel hedging between caravan pitches (so privacy and windbreaking) but some people still added windbreaks

people eh

THere's a market out there for windbreaks with net curtains imho.....

I use them and I don't care if I'm thought of as anti-social, it's my camping experience, no one elses.

Don't see the issue with 7 dogs on a site belonging to different families, no more abnormal to me than that amount of kids.

I'm new to the camping scene and so haven't had any first hand experience of this. I suppose at the end of the day people camp for their own reasons. If they want privacy leave them to it.

I actually think its a good idea if you've got a dog and want to deter them from barking, may have to add a windbreak to my ever growing shopping list just for this reason.

I have just bought quite a large windbreak, which I intend to put around the front of my tent. With the front porch open over the top of it, I thought it would make a semi -private sheltered area for cooking and sitting behind. But that still leaves the other side of the tent for sitting out and nosing at people !

Best of both worlds I think

We will be using our windbreak for the first time this year. We are using it mainly to put round our daughters tent as she is camping in her own tent this year and both the OH and I are a tad nervous about it. It will also shield the cooker as we have no floor lenght canopy this year.

Dont know how we will get on as we like to people watch too and talk to other people on the site.
