Went to our local boot sale last Sunday and bought a 2 man tent for £5 it's been up in the garden all week even had some rain and it's bone dry. My grandson is comming for the weekend so we shall be trying it out tomorrow night. Only 5 weeks until we go to the Gower for a fortnight can't wait but I am just as excited with my latest purchase. HAPPY CAMPING
I've had loads. I can't help looking out just for camping items! Two weeks ago though a seller had a SunnCamp Handy Tent and a Revolution Outhouse, both only used once £20 for the pair!
Best bargain though has to be Vango Force 10 tent for £4, which I sold on eBay for just over £120. Also got an Electrolux 3-Way chest fridge for £17, which was just dusty and needed a clean and I got a full Trangia cooker for £1.
Trouble is a lot of people don't know the value of what they've got, or in fact what on earth they are selling. They just don't want to go home with what they've brought with them most of the time.
I have felt a bit guilty buying expensive items for so little, but I can live with the guilt!
Cutlery, Viners, 15p a piece,Campingaz lantern £3.Mate had a complete melamine dining set £3.Set of steel camping sauspans £4.Sleeping bag £3.Did well on car boots.
not camping gear but a lovely Radley bag for 50p!!!
Also bought a thermarest self inflating mat for £2 and sold it on ebay for £40. I go to the carboot every week and never see that much camping stuff unfortunately.
