After much dithering about, reading reviews and putting threads on here re. the Freelander I went to JR Leisure near Leicester - just to look at one again you understand. They had a 2009 model erected indoors so I checked out the low zip on the door and bedspace for high raised bed.   Sat in the car to think - all of 5 minutes - then back into shop to discuss, asked how many left as I was going to return in week. Result is I bought their last 2009 model, the indoor display model got it for £99. Now all I need to do is have a practise and decide when I can go camping. My daughter really will think I'm mad as I'm collecting Nevada 3 from their garage today and I have hardly any room for storage.

hi
when we started camping we had no room in tent or car.
we got a trailer for exsess stuf but till we got our big tent we used a small 2 man tent for storage, just make sure its water tight nikwax do goos product

Hi Mamp it isn't car or tent storage that's the problem as there's only me and my stuff. Problem is home storage in a small 1-bedroom flat with a walkin cupboard for all stored things, communal garden so no shed and only shared car parking spaces. Now I'm in the 'older recycled teenager' bracket I need space for comfort camping.

Just got back from 9 days in the Isle of Man camping in freelander deluxe. We had gale force winds, torrential rain and sunny skies. Tent was great no problems not so for other campers and at 4am this morning ease of dismantle greatly appreciated

You'll have to get yourself one of those high beds so you can store your camping stuff underneath.

Daughter thought I was mad to buy another tent then said it works out cheaper than a few days in a hotel. Now all I need to do is decide when and where to go.

This is much cheaper. Khyam Freelander 3-berth tent but just for me.
