I have a tent which I bought off ebay last year. didnt pay that much for it and its far too big for me plus never quite worked out how it went. I notice that at the festivals there are points where you can donate your kit to but does anyone know somewhere outside of a festival that can make use of these for charity?
dont know here you are but you should be able to find a charity shop who will take it
some of our local (Sheffield) charity shops have got terribly fussy (declining a nearly new christmas tree and decorations at the end of November, declining toys as the CE mark wasnt clear enough and declining baby things like bottles, cupboard locks etc as "no one would want (unused) old baby things" etc.
But our local Salvation Army shop take anything (except complete tat onbiously) and say thank you
Recently went in with our guest duvet, used a handful of times but stitching was coming undone, lady took it and said she could fix it a bit later no problem
Gave them a Jamet viz-a-viz thing with some hand written instructions and comment about a tear fixed with duck tape. Gone in a week for £15
We got rid of something we didnt need, they got some cash and the buyer got a bargain - everyone wins
Your local scout group are often greatful of donations of camping gear, i know the local scoutmaster down at Ludham in Norfolk, and sometimes drop off unwanted tents and stuff to him whilst we are down there.

scout/guide/church group is a great idea - not thought of them before
our local groups are always after stuff to use or jumble sale
wonder if they want our old coolbox ?
