More clarification please - if you've got an ordinary "stick some ice packs in it" coolbox, rather than an electric one, are you a glamper, or not?

Only if it has bunting round it.

I'm worried by this to, we use a 3 way fridge so it sounds like we're glampers...yet we don't use EHU so everyone says we're "roughing it" (LOL Val - love your post, might have to steal that for a sig)...

...plus where does the coffee peculator, crepe pan and the waffle iron put us

To a "real" back to nature camper, you're a glamper if you take any sort of cool box. "Real" campers keep their milk or beer cold by putting the bottle into a wet sock and hanging it from a tree.

(It works too, btw. We used to do this when we cycle-camped. Not much room on a bike for any sort of cool box, alas. Clean sock only of course!!)

Surely real campers are easily spotted, tent usually less than 120cm high. If the tent comes up higher than your waist your a glamper, no doubt about it.

ps - I might start collecting fridge magnets for my 3 way fridge, that's about the extent of beautification you'll find around chez hlk

No really? Blimey that makes me a glamper...and there's me with not one item that matches (unless it's by accident of course)

Of course, owners of pyramid tents are glampers just because.

I have fridge magnets on the CombiCool! They came free with packets of some French cheese spread that the kids used to like ...they're figures from The Incredibles.

And I used to have a flower vase made from an old Orangina bottle.

But...and I've just remembered this....I've still got the original table cloth that matches the curtains in my TT. Retro (because it's 21 years old) and matching. Do I get double Glamper points for that?

I don't actually use the tablecloth! I'm just saying I've got it. I keep it in case I ever need to replace or mend one of the curtains. And the Orangina bottle was for the weeds...err, wild flowers my daughter used to bring me when she was small.

2.What's your most frivilous Glamping item?

My spinning wheel. (I am perfectly serious...couldn't live without one for more than a couple of days.)

Hi, were you at The Old Oaks a couple of weeks ago?  There was someone with a spinning wheel there.
