Not posted for a while - been lurking more really - but I am interested on opinion on inflatable furniture.
We have now changed our tent for this summer from the Diablo 900 which was a great tent, but had its problems space wise, to a Hi Gear Corado 8 which gives us more useable living space and hence we are looking at the furniture for the square interior we now have.
Anyone got any positives and negatives about the inflatable sofa's and chairs out there ?
I think it depends who is going to be using it. If you have a couple of enthusiastic 6 year olds bouncing on it an inflatable sofa won't last for long. Likewise if you've got a teen who, like mine, throws himself into the chair!
Also, dogs and inflatable furniture don't go together, which is why I went through the 'thinking about it' stage as you are now and decided no (well that and because of my teen)
It was discussed on this forum not so long ago. I think the general consensus was avoid the coleman inflatable chair and sofa at all costs! The wilkinsons sofas look cool and are by all accounts very comfortable.
I have an inflatable sofa, although it is very comfortable and it's spot on for a camping trip. It's only on it's second outing and it's already going down. They are a good idea but in reality I wouldn't get another one because they just seem to go down all of the time.
As 4 beds I av just bought a queen sized, full height air bed from Tesco's it's fab I am just so happy with my purchase and unbelievably comfy. You can buy the double for only 26.99 but I saw the queen at 40.00 and thought I would treat myself lol.
we've got an inflatable double sofa which converts to a bed , paid £50 off a catalogue 3 years ago and its wonderful for sleeping on , we love it , so comfy and with arms and headboard so i can sit up and read
this year tho we want one for the living area too, and have been looking around and cant seem to find one that looks anywhere near as good
I bought the Wilkinson's inflatable sofa and had it up in the living room for 4 days when I tried it up. My 3 girls....7,5 and 1 all loved it and didn't want it to go back in the bag !
Have yet to try it in the tent but it seems great for us and very sturdy. Plus the cat was trying it out too, although on a blanket. It's very good value at £20

we are going to get a wilkinsons sofa , but theyre not in stock at the mo . thanks all x
Just so you know, Wilkos have been showing the sofa out of stock since last year, well every time I've checked. I've had an "email me when back in stock" set up since then. I think people have found them in the stores from time to time but online seems to be scarce. They normally have the chairs though.

Invercaimbe Arisaig 4 sleeps

We have 2 Bestway armchairs.. well 4 actually but more of that later. We got the first two and when we tried them in our cavernous Khyam Aspen they were fantastic, until we both fell asleep in them in the blazing sun that was shining through the front windows and they balooned up ! Schoolboy error and all my fault. as they were also slightly underinflated so the baking hot sun made the material go soft and stretch. A bit like squeezing an under inflated baloon. They still work fine but we bought two more as they wer only £15 each and much sturdier 'til the sun fubar'd them ! The moral of the tory.. don't leave them in direct blazing sunshine and if you do maybe a throw might help but one thing's for sure we definitely won't be sitting in them if they are red hot from the sun and will be mindful not to leave them in the front of the tent, next to the massive front windows if the sun's shining in.

Hi Christine I did the same about 2 months ago and had waited for Wilko's to email me when the sofa came back in. I don't know if they have a first come first served on this with emails as I happened to check online and they had 38 in stock and hadn't emailed me ! I ordered one and got it but that was after 6 weeks of it being out of stock...so keep looking and don't rely on the email thing. They had sold out 2 days later !
Ordered a collapsible bowl from them out of stock and they did email me it was back in so I don't know how it works.
