 I think that the main message here is you can give it a quick air just about anywhere but a day or two pitched in the garden will give it a proper drying.

Drat, just bought a khyam chatsworth with sig, didnt occur to me at the time it would make drying it out harder, used to draping a tent over table and sofa if necessary. Oh well have to hope we always pack up in the dry.
(Squadron of pigs just flying past).

Well....  If you have nowhere to pitch it at home, it will be a lot easier to take it out whilst the tent is pitched - so if I were you, I would take it out at the site.

I know you might not have the room, but when I get back I put mine over the washing line in the garden with the groundsheet facing up. This gives me a chance to brush off any dry dirt and also wipe anything down that needs doing.  If it's not too bad and not wet so doesn't need drying I take it my Fiancé's as he has quite a large garden and just brush it down before squeezing it back into it's very undersized bag!
