Well I have to report on a favourable shopping experience.
i am always wary when purchasing on line, so it was with a little trepidation that I ordered 2 leads for our camingaz cooler (1 to use and 1 spare) for camping online. the order was placed late on a friday and I returned home from work on the Tuesday evening to find my parcel had arrived.
I opened the parcel and shock horror there was only 1 lead and the delivery note/invoice stated 2 and no addendum about anything to follow. Saddened by this turn of events I rang the firm and despite it being after 7pm, I got a human response after a coule of choices on the inevitable menu system. I was asked a couple of questions and if there were any hand written comments on the delivery note. Having confirmed there were not I was then told leave it with us and we will get another one sent out to you ( I had 1 the second was a spare and this seemed vey reasonable to me).
Three days later the second lead arrived. Great service in my book, and here is why
Mistakes do happen and people get things wrong, fact of life, however good service can still occur depending on how the suplying company deal with the issue. I have to say that this firm did everything necessary without quibble or fuss.
So well done to camping online and keep up the good work.
Everyone will shout from the rooftops when they get poor service so I thought I would buck the trend and let you know about a firm roviding a good service.
Thanks
------------- We only go camping to see what we have forgotten and what we need to get for next time. If only we could remember where we put the list..................
It makes serious sense to "Try out" several on line sites with small purchases before entrusting them with orders woth hundreds. This is one of the reasons that I like to use real shops, a small seam had started to fray on a sleeping bag, I took it back to the shop I bought it from, they appologised profusely and I came out with a brand new bag - So I go back there,
as the meerkats say "Simples"

Look into my eyes, not around my eyes but into my eyes
I posted a link to an ebay seller not so long ago. I ordered the wrong part for my coleman dual fuel stove, to be fair the advert could have been slightly misleading, but upon re-reading it I discovered it was actually me who was in the wrong. I contacted the seller & explained what had happened & he immediately dispatched the correct item to me, leaving me to return the other one at my leisure! Which I have actually still neglected to do (lots on) but he hasn't chased me for it. (I am going to return it by the end of this week though.)
Some of these companies, especially on sites like ebay, need their good feedback so much they are usually a pretty safe bet these days. Especially if you go for a top rated seller.
Times may well be changing, & it's refreshing to see some good feedback on a forum, with regards to on line buying. We've all heard the horror stories.
