Evening All,

I am after some advice with roof bars as have just bought a bargain roof bag but have yet to buy the bars; Have been looking at Halfords but they quote me nearly £100.00 for Thule ones, with the fittings and I wondered is this is what I should expect to be spending?

I have a Citroen C3 2003 car, it has what I think are gutters? (I'm rubbish at all things technical!) Anyway, there are rubber things that I guess need to be removed to fit them.

Has anyone any recommendations other than Halfords? It would be ideal for me to get them from there as they will fit them for me, but I'm skint at the moment and any bargains would be better than paying through the roof from Halfords.. (though obviously I want something that will last - I believe Thule are a good make?) How easy are they to fit anyway?

Thanks for any advise!

Kate

hi kate i did get cruz bars but i paid an extra 25 pound for the aluminium ones,i have a silver focus so they look really nice on the car.You can check them out in the photo gallery on the web page. You just tick the alluminium cruz bars box when selecting your bars. But the normal ones look fine to me,think the max load you can put on them is 50 kilo, hope that is of some help to you.

I've just done the same - ordered mine from Wilko Motor Save - not sure if you have one in your area but I'm sure they'll deliver.  Cost me about £40 ish (I wrote it down but I can't find it now) - going to pick them up today,
