as small as as a small finger nail but a hole all the same ...... do we need to fix it or will it be ok? i would leave it but hubby not sure

Your best bet would be to buy some tenacious (sp) tape.. most camping shops will sell it..fantastic stuff..

it needs repairing, the smallest of holes can create quite a puddle with steady rain, get some tenacious tape, cut 2 round pieces to cover the hole and put a piece on the outside and a piece on the inside, that will do the trick

I've never heard of this 'tenacious tape' - where do you get it from? I have a hole in one of my boat covers. It sounds as though it might fix it enough for me to get another season before I have to spend out on a replacement.

That stuff looks great!

I noticed at the w/end that there's a 'thin' spot right at the top of our tent; not an actual hole, but the sunlight was coming through much brighter at that point, about the size of this: O

This tape would do the job, I'm sure. Not sure if water would get in (the tent has been up twice without rain!) but I might do a pre-emptive repair...
