Get the battery and alternator checked to make sure both are working ok.It could be that the alternator and battery connections need cleaning up a bit.If you leave it it may happen again come winter.

The amount of power consumed working in either direction, has just been pointed out by Bob61's post '4 D cells'. There's almost more power in a dead car battery than 4 brand new D cells. Like others have said already, you must have a problem elswhere. As already posted, doors left open car radio on etc etc.

My wifes car (before we met) had a new battery, and a  new altenator, as her battery was always flat after a few days parked up. It turned out to be the boot light not turning off, and was only discovered by accident, when the back seat was left tipped forwards one night. A very simple fix that cost her  well over a hundred pounds to sort.

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.

His Nibs likes to pull the plug out of the bed while I am still in it on the last morning.  He says it a)gets me out of bed and b)my weight gets the air out.  I say he's lucky to be alive *lol*

Thanks for all the input guys.  I think it was prob. because i was trying to eek every last bit of air out so they would be as small as possible so i could still squeeze my nephew into the car lol  The pump did sound like it was really straining at the end!  Will get the battery checked out tho as advised.

Abi
