We've just pitched tent in garden - we either need a smaller tent or a bigger garden.mmmmm

I pitched my current tents in the garden, to check all was well with them. Before going to a site and finding all is not well.

I still pitch them in between trips, to try out new gear, or improve my pitching technique.

Trouble is, when I want to sleep in them, my wife wants to come as well. LOL

Besides, a new tent needs 3 sessions of rain to 'proof' it.

Just wish the birds would find another target!!! Grrr.

Yes Cathy she was inside it before the pegs went in she is here now on her own sleeping bag (that what she thinks)

i'm waiting for it to stop raining then i'm setting up in the garden for my 6 yo daughter to have a play in the tent. something different for the school hols. then in a few weeks we're going real camping, can't wait.

 hiya...well weve camped out every weekend since we bought our tent..either at local sites or in the back garden..infact we are camping out again in the garden tonight...but ive gotta take the tent down for friday as we are off to a site for a long weekend...we have only just discovered the joys of camping and i must admit i dont wanna sleep in the house anymore...am quite happy snuggled up in my sleeping bag!! xx

Have a feeling i might have to garden camp this evening as i have just bought the little Riches there own 2 man tent, i tried and tried for them to pick the vango but instead they wanted the preety red one which was an Hi gear ion2 they aint been out of it since i pitched it in the garden for them. pics in the pictures of us thread.

I'm in the garden tonight too with my 6yo daughter, her mum wanted her to wait till friday but she wasn't having any of it. Can't wait really.
