Anybody know when the Go Outdoors in Norwich is due to open? The website just says August, we're camping in Cromer in the middle of August and are planning to visit Norwich for the day, might as well lose our Go Outdoors 'virginity' at the same time :)

Skip Go Outdoors and visit Norwich Camping & Leisure instead.
One of our favourite passtimes is wandering around the huge tent display making a list of all the fabulous tents we'll one day own!
The cakes in the coffee shop are pretty good too!

Here, here. Lovely site at Norwich C&L. Cake shop is awesome, but it's cash or cheque only. Caught me out there once.
Another vote for Norwich Camping......mind you I will also be tempted with go outdoors once it opens My friend has been offered a job there when it opens

We always pay by credit card, or do you just mean in the coffee shop?

I love Norwich Camping.. only trouble is my credit card seems to find its way out of my purse every time i visit... went on Sunday and bought an expensive double sleeping bag, need to go camping again soon to try it out. Am looking forward to when Go outdoors opens tho, definately worth a visit although Norwich Camping was £8 cheaper than them on my bbq!
Originally all of the releases said the end of July so I take ut they have had some building problems, but best they hurry up King's Lynn has a Millets and a Mountain Warehouse, is it me or has anybody else found Mountain Warehouse bloody expensive?

Just the coffee shop. Hope that will change. I voiced my frustraction to my better half saying that they just lost £20 for coffe, lunch and cakes as all I had was enough money for 2 coffees. The owner/manager was having her coffee break next to me. Hope they take it on board.
Steve:- Yeah, been in there a few times. Is expensive and seems so packed with stuff it's difficult to browse.
Agree that Norwich Camping pile the stuff high..if you can reach. Got put off spending £1500 on an awning and other essentials by a disinterested member of staff. Got the awning from Davan Caravans. Excellent next-day service and £50 cheaper than Norwich Camping. Went into Go-outdoors Harlow in my travels. Wonderful shop for clothing, boots, books and maps and tenting equipment. And they're opening in Norwich on August Bank holiday! Their caravan accessories, however, need up-dating for today's modern 'vans. And what's all this nonsense about buying a discount card for £4 in order to buy things at the stated price. They're having a laugh. For good service and prices I always use Norwich Caravans (halfway to Cromer) or Greentrees Adventure store (behind Tesco's in Dereham)
not quite on the same lines but..yeomans advertised thier "exhibition" at stapleford and when i turned up it wasn't for another week...why advertise without a date?
Also love the cakes at Norwich Camping. Makes it a worthwhile trip from Kings Lynn and OH doesn't mind as She can browse around the farmshop and garden centre bits while I get my "camping fix" in the main area. It will be nice to have Go Outdoors too. May be it will start a bit of price competition going but TBH Norwich Camping's price matching service is very good. I got my Dometic 1700 for £179 from them in May.
Cheers
Bert
