they are the rudest people i have ever delt with in my life!!!!!!  My friend and I purchased 2 tents from here last week at £149 each,  used them the weekend to find they both had faults, we returned them to the store simply wanting an exchange. We had 3 men shouting and screaming at us from behind the counter saying we had to wait 21 days for the tents to be sent back to Gelert before anything would be done, no way we said we have sites booked this week after a long argument and these 3 men screaming at us they told us to leave the shop with our tents (faulty), no way we said.  One man came over who again tried to tell us to wait 21 days but we managed to get him down to 48 hours so we agreed.  When we got home we phoned Gelert who were very very helpful and told us we could either choose a refund or an exchange no problem, I rung ABC back asking for refunds but they told us we could not have these untill there was enough money in their till which could be today, tomorrow or whenever.  I wont go into all the details but they basically Gelert sorted the problem for us they were brill.  We were sent 2 new tents the next day from Gelert.  I cant beleive how rude the staff in this shop were i will never ever spend a penny in there again.  We could have had these tents £30 cheaper on line but i do like to try to keep local businesses going but just hope this one closes tomorrow!!!!!

They have always been like this .

the worst customer service of any place I've ever heard of.

How they stay have managed to stay in business all this time is beyond me.

I think the problem is that in Swansea there is only one other big camping shop, Mike Davies leisure in Killay. they are very nice to deal with, but a bit out of the way ,but handy if you are heading towards Gower.

We have Blacks and Millets in the High Street which are not really up to much , mainly selling backpacking type kit and clothing, not much in the way of family camping gear, and no tent displays .

I have been there with them too. Would be nice if Gelert were to send in a mystery shopper and decide not to supply them any longer as they give Gelert such a bad name

the Gelert rep who we delt with knew about all the bad reports on here and went and spoke to ABC just before we got there but they are such rude people it will probably be like water off a ducks back.

They also trade from the marina supplies and fishing tackle shop on the opposite side, so you can tell your friends to avoid aswel

And have an on-line shop but I can not remember the name of it

I think Go Outdoors should be considering Swansea for their next store, that should sort ABC out!!!!!!

i should give mike davies leisure a try tho, only really been to go outdoors supermarkets + halfrauds
