Where do i start well a few weeks ago i was in the lakes and when erectin my VANGO ORCHY 600 I cracked  one of the cross over poles in the dome section. I gaffer taped it up and my break wasnt ruined earlyier today i removed the elastic and went shoppin for a new pole in go outdoors they have loads of vango polesbut not my size the bloke in there wasnt very helpful either.

I measured the pole from the tip to the bottom of the metal bit and i get 60.5 cm but i cant work out how to measure the next bit do i do the diameter of the metal bit or the fibre glass bit i've looked on many sites now and cant work it out any help would be greatly appreciated as i need this pole for the weekend.

As long as you get right diameter pole, you can cut the pole to size with a junior hacksaw. Most replacemnet poles are longer than they need to be to allow for using with different tents.
i would think the diameter you need is the pole itself not the metal ferrule.
Take the pole to the shop and compare it to be sure if the right size .

Put masking tape around it to stop spilntering and cut with a junior hacksaw, rub with sandpaper to remove and sharp bits. thread elastic through and tie off .

A single section is only about £2-£3 . A pack of elastic is about £5 , but that would restring several complete pole lengths, and always handy to have as spare for future repairs . Also worth getting another spare section , and cutting to size in readiness if ever needed to repair on site.
