Thanks Speedcamp. I've seen the ufos in my tesco extra but couldn't work out how to switch them on ... am I being dense?
Look for the little round button by the LED's.Brill for camping.
What more can i say apart from a Monty owner and fan myself, had the extension but traded that for the new awning and is now even better than i imagined.
Only problem is 'Rob Cross' says there's going to be a 'polycotton' one next year!!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for their encouraging posts, really looking forward to the first outing in the Monty. They are a bit more expensive than some other tents of similair style and size but when you look at them back to back in the showroom the Outwell quality and attention to detail is a winner.I will let you all know how we got on when we get back, getting really excited now and I am 60 years old.Isnt it great that a hobby or pastime can generate such emotions.Happy camping Mick
I've had the Monty 6 and extension for a couple of years and it's great for breaks of a week or more but a bit too much for weekends away so I got the Icarus 500 and suncanopy which can be set up and taken down easily. Great to notice that other people on here have the same - that means we must all be right.
we love 'Hannah' our Montana too can put it up in 25mins (all pegged out) have used it twice for weekends and can't wait to stay for longer. Also have awning which when up makes an already brilliant tent awesome !!!! btw Mick I had never camped in my life until last year when I was 48 and now I am totally addicted and making up for lost time !! Hope you enjoy your Monty as much as we do !
I'd love a monty, but it'll have to wait, the next thing on our shopping list is an Icarus 600, then perhaps it'll be time to think properly about a monty!
